Description
Fermín 100% Ibérico Acorn-Fed Ham (Jamón de Bellota), 2 oz
Jamón ibérico de bellota is one of the great foods of the world. Fermín's ham comes from 100% Ibérico pigs, the black-hoofed breed known as "pata negra", which roam free and feed on acorns during the Montanera season, from October through February. That diet is what gives bellota ham its sweet, nutty fat and deep flavor.
The slices are cut in a hand-carved style and the ham is minimally processed, with no artificial ingredients. Open the pack 10 minutes before serving and lay the slices on a plate at room temperature: the fat should look glossy and start to melt. Serve it on its own with a glass of fino sherry or red wine, or next to Manchego and crackers.
